Our job as writers is to create emotion in our readers. We aren’t trying to reveal what our characters are feeling, but rather to make our readers feel right along with them, and to believe in the characters and their world. This workshop explains what concrete, significant details are, and how to use them to make your reader feel as though they’re dreaming with eyes wide open.Through a combination of lecture, examples from famous writers, and in-class writing exercises, participants can expect to come away with a thorough understand of how to use this essential  writer’s tool. (Handouts will be sent to registered students
